Business Incubator Initiative (BII)
The mission of the Wheeling Heritage Business Incubator Initiative is both simple and innovative:
To provide qualified local small businesses with the opportunity to operate their independent retail shop, on a trial basis, in a no-risk partnership with The Artisan Center.
The participating shop owner enjoys the benefits of a high-traffic location without any of the usual overhead expenses.
Appalachian Herbal Co., owned and operated by herbalist Jenn Slater, is the first and current participant in the program.
Appalachian Herbal Co. is a small-batch, natural self-care and wellness brand, specializing in clean, non-toxic skincare and herbal remedies free of endocrine disruptors and harmful chemicals.
